In 1995, 33% of institutions offered distance education courses and an additional
25% were planning to offer them during the next three years. 76% of institutions
with 10,000 or more students offered distance education courses. (Table)
Of those offering distance education courses, the numbers were divided pretty
evenly among those offering 1 - 4, 5 - 10, 11 - 25, and more than 25 courses.
